I know that this always makes me look like a raging racist, but I really am NOT. I have hundreds of friends and associates who are of races other than mine. But once again the actions of a pack in Ferguson, MO have me saying, "What is wrong with those people?".

You see, individuals of ALL races are usually just great! But WHENEVER a pack of people of a race (including MINE), acting in the name of their race, decide to take public action, it almost always ends badly.

Now, the police shooting of an unarmed young man (of ANY race) is a tragedy! NOBODY doubts that! But, now, as it has happened so many times in the past, packs of African Americans have made it a "cause". And, again, as always, it is all about how the black race is mistreated by the white race, rather than about the police shooting of an unarmed young man (again, something that hurts ALL of us!).

And again, here I am saying that it is not the WHITE race that is acting racist, but rather, the BLACK race--because it is THEM who have made this all about race...

What is wrong with those people???

Twenty Seven Killed in Newtown, Connecticut School Shooting...

This week's most recent mass shooting highlights to me a problem that you will not hear discussed on the nightly news. The opinion I am about to express is one that many would be considered to be extreme, cruel, unenlightened, even crazy in a "modern society".Yet, when I first saw the photo of the the murderer, Adam Lanza, as a child I knew exactly what had happened. The shooter's neighbors described the Lanza as "troubled", as "odd", as "frightening", as "deeply disturbed" and "a ticking time bomb". One friend of the family, upon hearing of the shooting said, "I knew immediately that it had to be Adam".

Most telling, the family of the shooter described him as autistic...

Our Psycho-Medical-Pharmaceutical community, and most especially the public education system, have elivated autism and Asperger's to the level of a virtue. "Aspies" are praised for their intelligence and are forgiven, even defended, for their anti-social tendancies. The system enables (and therefore promotes) the permanence of the socially maladept autistic/Asperger's behaviors that are nearly identical in definition to the sociopathic personality disorder which is the hallmark of a serial killer.

I am so sick and tired of parents and teachers saying, "he's really intelligent, he just can't do well in school"...

If, as the "education professionals" (a pair of words which, after experiencing all I have experienced in this career, I will always cast in quotes) contend, Aspies and autistics are so capable and intelligent, why doesn't the system start teaching them social appropriateness and normal human connectedness.

I'm not saying that the educational system is entirely at fault for Friday's killings, any more than guns are. But we must certainly start looking to the "mollycoddling" of antisocial kids as a contributing factor.

It makes at least as much sense as blaming guns...

Like I said a while back, I hadn't written for a long while because I hadn't gotten angry enough. Well, Look The Fuck Out!

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME????? http://ireport.cnn.com/docs/DOC-751084?hpt=us_bn2 says "Racial Slur Assault on Jeremy Lin by Mainstream Media Must Be Punished and Stopped"????? OH, SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!

Have you heard what the "racial slur" in question actually was? Apparently the poor CNN editor used the phrase "a chink in his armor" referring to Jeremy Lin's less-than-perfect performance in a particular B-ball game... Are you fucking kidding me?!?!?!?!?

If people are going to search and sift and examine every little bit of communication for "possible" racial slurs, we're not going to be able to communicate at all. One observant commenter even noticed that the article ended with the phrase "nip this now" OH, MY GAWD!!!!!!!!!! SUCH AN OPEN AND OBVIOUS FULL-FACE FUCKING DIRECTED TOWARD THE HONORABLE NATION OF JAPAN! (Give me a fucking break...)

I don't imagine anybody is going to cry for MY people each time a store advertises a "white sale". And if they did I would kick their asses, too. MY people apparently aren't a bunch of whining pussies.

All of you assholes who are crying about this innocent use of an innocent phrase need to pull up your fucking panties and grow up.

Wow! It has been a WHILE since I've posted... Does that mean that I haven't been angry in all of these months? Absolutely not! Does it mean that I've given in? Forbid the thought!

I think what it does mean is that the things that have prompted my outrage recently have been more local than global. And also that ObamaAndHisZombies frankly bore me...

I continue to tilt at dragons in my own shire... The national outrages are being well-handled by my philosophical kin.

I'll be back when it becomes necessary. Meanwhile, I've also started up a Tumbler account (that I haven't posted on since opening it) on which I hope to put some of my more philosophical, less vituperative comments: hgybr.tumbler.com...

When I start posting there, you might find some additional reasons/meanings for my silence.

Courage!

Thoughts on the BP Disaster in the Gulf of Mexico:

I think I've learned some things as a result of the BP disaster. I have changed some very disfavorable opinions of Gulf Coasters that I had formed during the Katrina debacle.

You'll remember that I was disgusted by the images of New Orleanos standing on their roofs using their 15-minutes of of media fame cursing America for not coming to their rescue--much like (no, EXACTLY like) spoiled children screaming to their nannies to come clean their soiled underwear.

But I'm very encouraged at the interviewees during this disaster. What I'm impressed with this time is images of self-sufficient and enterprising fishermen, businessmen and local politicians cursing the federal government for not letting THEM go out and take care of the problem themselves!

Maybe (in contrast to all other American people groups, it seems) more eastern residing Louisianans are made of sterner stuff than those in "The Big Easy". Maybe Louisianans have grown up and learned.

Boston Police: Cop Used Racial Slur In Gates Email
BOSTON (WBZ)

Boston Police moved to fire an officer after he allegedly sent out a mass e-mail that contained a racial slur to refer to Harvard University professor Henry Louis Gates Jr.

Officer Justin Barrett, a two-year veteran, is accused of calling Gates a "jungle monkey" in the e-mail, the Boston Herald reports.

Sources tell WBZ-TV that Barrett sent the mass e-mail to some of his comrades in the National Guard.

Police officials say Commissioner Ed Davis immediately placed the 36-year-old officer on administrative leave pending a termination hearing after the officer admitted to being responsible for the e-mail.

Barrett has been stripped of his gun and badge.

Barrett is assigned to District B-3 where he patroled the Mattapan/North Dorchester area [niggerville] around Blue Hill Avenue. He has no prior history of being disciplined. He is also a member of the National Guard.

I grew up in America--a land that few people seem to remember any more. America was a land that so strongly believed in the rights of individuals and the right of personal thought and expression that the Supreme Court of that land ruled that the Ku Klux Klan had the right to march through the largely Jewish community of Skokie, Illinois, while spewing anti-semitic rhetoric.

I think it is safe to say that my previous blog could land me in prison...

Bring it fucking on!

Aw, Fuck--I've been silent for so long. But I can't keep it up any longer!!!

In tonight's press conference, Nobama responded to another apparent Socialist Shill, Lynn Sweet from the Chicago Sun Times (Oh, my goodness! What a coincidence!) who asked about the "tragedy" of Nigger Henry Louis Gates (hey, THEY'RE the ones who keep playing the race card!) being arrested while trying to break into his own house in Cambridge MA. Nobama blathered about how "blacks and latinos continue to be victimized by racial profiling" just as any thinking person expected him to blather.

The simple fact of the matter is that completely middle-aged, lilly white ME in my completely WHITE MIDDLE CLASS neighborhood would have "suffered" the same "discrimination" if anyone had witnessed me doing the exact same things the good Cambridge Doctor had done. In fact, my lilly white ass had cops pull hardware on me at least three times before I graduated from high school! And each fucking time it was a mistake! But since I'm "of the ruling class" I didn't have the luxury of pulling the race card--I just went home, Thankful that Barney Fife hadn't popped a cap in my ass!

You know what? Questionable activities will draw the attention of an increasingly militaristic and governmentalized constabulary in EVERY situation REGARDLESS of race, creed, color, income, education, economic status or neighborhood.

FUCKING LIVE WITH IT!!!!!

GOD! I'm sick and tired of niggers and other "minorities" whining about their "victimhood status "at the hand of the white majority" when they are "suffering" the exact fucking same situations that befall EVERY FUCKING OTHER RACIAL GROUP IN SIMILAR SITUATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GET THE FUCK OVER YOURSELVES!

(crazed panting gradually subsiding) To quote nigger Spike Lee in the wonderful movie, 25th Hour, "Slavery ended one hundred and thirty seven years ago. Move the fuck on!"

I swear, if I hear another whining "minority" bitching about his or her treatment at the hands of the "white majority", I'm gonna start knotting fucking nooses!

2008 was the year man-made global warming was disproved

Polar bears will be fine after all Photo: AP

The first, on May 21, headed "Climate change threat to Alpine ski resorts" , reported that the entire Alpine "winter sports industry" could soon "grind to a halt for lack of snow". The second, on December 19, headed "The Alps have best snow conditions in a generation" , reported that this winter's Alpine snowfalls "look set to beat all records by New Year's Day".

Easily one of the most important stories of 2008 has been all the evidence suggesting that this may be looked back on as the year when there was a turning point in the great worldwide panic over man-made global warming. Just when politicians in Europe and America have been adopting the most costly and damaging measures politicians have ever proposed, to combat this supposed menace, the tide has turned in three significant respects.

First, all over the world, temperatures have been dropping in a way wholly unpredicted by all those computer models which have been used as the main drivers of the scare. Last winter, as temperatures plummeted, many parts of the world had snowfalls on a scale not seen for decades. This winter, with the whole of Canada and half the US under snow, looks likely to be even worse. After several years flatlining, global temperatures have dropped sharply enough to cancel out much of their net rise in the 20th century.

Ever shriller and more frantic has become the insistence of the warmists, cheered on by their army of media groupies such as the BBC, that the last 10 years have been the "hottest in history" and that the North Pole would soon be ice-free – as the poles remain defiantly icebound and those polar bears fail to drown. All those hysterical predictions that we are seeing more droughts and hurricanes than ever before have infuriatingly failed to materialise.

Even the more cautious scientific acolytes of the official orthodoxy now admit that, thanks to "natural factors" such as ocean currents, temperatures have failed to rise as predicted (although they plaintively assure us that this cooling effect is merely "masking the underlying warming trend", and that the temperature rise will resume worse than ever by the middle of the next decade).

Secondly, 2008 was the year when any pretence that there was a "scientific consensus" in favour of man-made global warming collapsed. At long last, as in the Manhattan Declaration last March, hundreds of proper scientists, including many of the world's most eminent climate experts, have been rallying to pour scorn on that "consensus" which was only a politically engineered artefact, based on ever more blatantly manipulated data and computer models programmed to produce no more than convenient fictions.

Thirdly, as banks collapsed and the global economy plunged into its worst recession for decades, harsh reality at last began to break in on those self-deluding dreams which have for so long possessed almost every politician in the western world. As we saw in this month's Poznan conference, when 10,000 politicians, officials and "environmentalists" gathered to plan next year's "son of Kyoto" treaty in Copenhagen, panicking politicians are waking up to the fact that the world can no longer afford all those quixotic schemes for "combating climate change" with which they were so happy to indulge themselves in more comfortable times.

Suddenly it has become rather less appealing that we should divert trillions of dollars, pounds and euros into the fantasy that we could reduce emissions of carbon dioxide by 80 per cent. All those grandiose projects for "emissions trading", "carbon capture", building tens of thousands more useless wind turbines, switching vast areas of farmland from producing food to "biofuels", are being exposed as no more than enormously damaging and futile gestures, costing astronomic sums we no longer possess.

As 2009 dawns, it is time we in Britain faced up to the genuine crisis now fast approaching from the fact that – unless we get on very soon with building enough proper power stations to fill our looming "energy gap" - within a few years our lights will go out and what remains of our economy will judder to a halt. After years of infantile displacement activity, it is high time our politicians – along with those of the EU and President Obama's US – were brought back with a mighty jolt into contact with the real world.

I must end this year by again paying tribute to my readers for the wonderful generosity with which they came to the aid of two causes. First their donations made it possible for the latest "metric martyr", the east London market trader Janet Devers, to fight Hackney council's vindictive decision to prosecute her on 13 criminal charges, ranging from selling in pounds and ounces to selling produce "by the bowl" (to avoid using weights her customers dislike and don't understand). The embarrassment caused by this historic battle has thrown the forced metrication policy of both our governments, in London and Brussels, into total disarray.

Since Hackney backed out of allowing four criminal charges against Janet to go before a jury next month, all that remains is for her to win her appeal in February against eight convictions which now look quite absurd (including those for selling veg by the bowl, as thousands of other London market traders do every day). The final goal, as Neil Herron of the Metric Martyrs Defence Fund insists, must then be a pardon for the late Steve Thoburn and the four other original "martyrs" who were found guilty in 2002 – after a legal battle also made possible by this column's readers – of breaking laws so ridiculous that the EU Commission has even denied they existed (but which are still on the statute book).

Readers were equally generous this year in rushing to the aid of Sue Smith, whose son was killed in a Snatch Land Rover in Iraq in 2005. Their contributions made it possible for her to carry on with the High Court action she has brought against the Ministry of Defence, with the sole aim of calling it to account for needlessly risking soldiers' lives by sending them into battle in hopelessly inappropriate vehicles. Thanks not least to Mrs Smith's determined fight, the Snatch Land Rover scandal, first reported here in 2006, has at last become a national cause celebre.

May I finally thank all those readers who have written to me in 2008 – so many that, as usual, it has not been possible to answer all their messages. But their support and information has been hugely appreciated. May I wish them and all of you a happy (if globally not too warm) New Year.

So, here is the video that has the whole world yucking it up:
ANGRY JOURNALIST THROWS SHOES AT PRESIDENT GEORGE BUSH

Among those who are laughing the loudest are parading and revelling IRAQIS who are calling the shoe-throwing "Geraldo Mohammed" wannabe a HERO.

One of the comments the shoe-thrower shouted was that his act was partial revenge for civilian Iraqi deaths due to America's "occupation" of the country.

What about the thousands of American lives that have been lost since we bombed the shit out of Bagdad, while we've been trying to teach those dark-ages retards how to act like civilized human beings?

The cost of the war itself was pocket change compared to the cost of helping to train these camel-jockeys to protect themselves from themselves.

I've said it before--America is FAR too freaking generous and compassionate to our enemies! And as a former boss of mine was known to say, "No good deed goes unpunished". We should have bombed Bagdad into a giant, glassy crater then left these ungrateful goat fuckers to destoy themselves!

Okay. This is what I wrote about "the progressives" clear back in 2004:

"Gone forever is the stereotype that the right is the party of bigotry, hate and discord and the left is the party of love, peace and reconcilliation. During this last election it was the left who so openly displayed their hatred for Bush, who villified conservatives and those with religious convictions with a broad brush, and who sought out every negative image they could find in order to discredit and destroy their enemy, and who, now that they have lost, are blaming the "ignorance" of the voter for their defeat."

Now, after their overwhelming victory in the 2008 election, I read the following:

"Ann Coulter, the outspoken conservative writer seen all across American television leading up to the 2008 Presidential Election, has been forced to keep quiet after she took a fall last month. In the fall, Coulter sustained injuries that have required that her jaw be wired shut.
I’m sure that there are liberals everywhere today who think that Thanksgiving has come early this year." KREUZER'S CORNER http://kreuzer33.wordpress.com/

"Just in time for Thanksgiving, the good Lord has given us all something to be thankful for - the hate-filled Ann Coulter has had her jaw wired shut. According to a report by the New York Post, Coulter has apparently broken her jaw and will be wired until it heals. It is a bit of poetic justice - the woman who became famous for making explosive accusations and derogatory comments about her political enemies has now lost most of her ability to speak. Sure, she could still get some clenched-jaw zingers out, but talking through closed teeth really takes away a lot of the sting." RING OF FIRE RADIO http://ringoffireradio.com/blogengine/post/BREAKING-NEWS-Ann-Coulters-Jaw-Wired-Shut!!.aspx

"First Cheney and Gonzales get indicted, now Ann Coulter’s mouth is wired shut. (HT Gawker)
All my wishes are coming true! Either it’s time to play the lottery or finish that stable for all the ponies I’m getting for Christmas.
What’s next? I do have my Secret Santa List if anyone’s feeling especially generous.
Rush Limbaugh develops incurable laryngitis.
Karl Rove gets caught in a gay prostitution/drug ring with Dick Morris.
Hannity without Colmes becomes such a ratings disaster he gets canceled, replaced by the Sarah Palin animal appreciation hour — Pet-n-Palin.
Bill O’Reilly get’s kidnapped and no one will pay the ransom.
John Yoo get’s hit by a bus.
Karma is AWESOME! All that’s left is for Bush to announce “Mission Accomplished;” that the final step in completing his dad’s vision for a new world order is complete and that his final official act will be to sign over the deed to the United States of America to the Chinese as collateral for a way-cool casino/trick-bike track they’re building for him in Crawford.
Oh hell, I really don’t need all that. I’d settle for just John Yoo getting hit by a bus." AMERICAN STREET http://www.reachm.com/amstreet/archives/2008/11/25/i-must-have-been-a-good-little-boy/

My personal reaction couldn't be any more succinct than what follows:

"True to form, liberals are openly celebrating, which is typical. Every time a conservative experiences personal problems or tragedy, liberals celebrate like cannibalistic savages. Such behavior merely underscores the fact that they do not believe what they claim to believe. They are not tolerant; they’re not compassionate; they’re not progressive. They care solely for power, and anyone in the way of that quest must be destroyed as soon as possible. Period.
Stalin would be proud." http://tsfiles.wordpress.com/2008/11/26/liberals-celebrate-ann-coulters-injury/

I never heard such caterwauling from Conservatives when, for instance, Ted Kennedy was diagnosed with brain cancer. Instead, I heard admonitions to pray for the Massachusetts Senator.

But then I forget that the "progressives" hate God. My mistake.

Okay...no matter your politics, you have to admit that history was made last night. Is it the best thing for our country? Only time will tell.

But after a night's sleep and some reflection, there are some silver linings to last night's election:

1. In addition to locking Hillary out of the primary for 2012, this also holds the dem's feet to the fire. I'm sure that their performance will be no more successful than it has been the last two years, so there will be a voter backlash "demanding change" after another 2-4 years of inactivity.

2. Obama's ascendancy forever takes away the black's rallying cry that blacks are still marginalized and downtrodden in the US. A black man in the white house takes away all of their demands for "reparations" and cries of "disenfranchisement".

3. Also, Obama's seizure of the highest seat of power defuses the University of Delaware's assertion that all whites are racist by definition because they hold power, and that blacks by definition are incapable of racism because they hold no power. (The university's Office of Residence Life Diversity Education Training documents, includes the statement: "'The term [Racist] applies to all white people (i.e., people of European descent) living in the United States, regardless of class, gender, religion, culture or sexuality. By this definition, people of color cannot be racists, because as peoples within the U.S. system, they do not have the power to back up their prejudices, hostilities, or acts of discrimination…."--source: http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=58426)

4. Finally, I truly hope that Obama's success will finally compel the black race in America to create an ethic among themselves to place value on education, mainstream success, assimilation into the broader American culture, regard for law, respect of marriage, and the responsibility of fathers to raise their children.

I JUST HEARD IT!

On NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams--the opening story: American death toll in Iraq reaches 4000. In Brian's self-righteous words, "...in this war which has has gone on longer than World War Two".

Just to gain some perspective, in World War 2, most sources say that the American casualties were the following:
406,000 killed (including 6,000 merchant marine civilians)
600,000 Wounded
5,600 American civilians where killed in this war, mostly of them Merchant Marine Sailors that died in convoy wars, and ammo accidents.

(source:WikiAnswers.com)

4000 American dead is nothing to be overlooked, and Bless God for the willingness of the patriots who are sacrificially defending all of the rest of us in Iraq. But the hyperbolizing media wags play upon the consciousness of an increasingly ignorant viewing (and voting) public that takes such statements as having some meaningful significance.

Brian--of all of the talking heads in the drive-by media, you are one of my favorites. But tonight you have sunk to the level of the "Comrade Katie"'s who will say anything to make a political point. I'm ashamed of you.

John Stossel: People still die in 'gunless utopia'

February 27, 2008 - 11:59AM

It's all too predictable. A day after a gunman killed six people and wounded 18 others at Northern Illinois University, The New York Times criticized the U.S. Interior Department for preparing to rethink its ban on guns in national parks.

The editorial board wants "the 51 senators who like the thought of guns in the parks — and everywhere else, it seems — to realize that the innocence of Americans is better protected by carefully controlling guns than it is by arming everyone to the teeth."

As usual, the Times editors seem unaware of how silly their argument is. To them, the choice is between "carefully controlling guns" and "arming everyone to the teeth." But no one favors "arming everyone to the teeth" (whatever that means). Instead, gun advocates favor freedom, choice and self-responsibility. If someone wishes to be prepared to defend himself, he should be free to do so. No one has the right to deprive others of the means of effective self-defense, like a handgun.

As for the first option, "carefully controlling guns," how many shootings at schools or malls will it take before we understand that people who intend to kill are not deterred by gun laws? Last I checked, murder is against the law everywhere. No one intent on murder will be stopped by the prospect of committing a lesser crime like illegal possession of a firearm. The intellectuals and politicians who make pious declarations about controlling guns should explain how their gunless utopia is to be realized.

While they search for — excuse me — their magic bullet, innocent people are dying defenseless.

That's because laws that make it difficult or impossible to carry a concealed handgun do deter one group of people: law-abiding citizens who might have used a gun to stop crime. Gun laws are laws against self-defense.

Criminals have the initiative. They choose the time, place and manner of their crimes, and they tend to make choices that maximize their own, not their victims', success. So criminals don't attack people they know are armed, and anyone thinking of committing mass murder is likely to be attracted to a gun-free zone, such as schools and malls.

Government may promise to protect us from criminals, but it cannot deliver on that promise. This was neatly summed up in a book title a few years ago: "Dial 911 and Die." If you are the target of a crime, only one other person besides the criminal is sure to be on the scene: you. There is no good substitute for self-responsibility.

How, then, does it make sense to create mandatory gun-free zones, which in reality are free-crime zones?

The usual suspects keep calling for more gun control laws. But this idea that gun control is crime control is just a myth. The National Academy of Sciences reviewed dozens of studies and could not find a single gun regulation that clearly led to reduced violent crime or murder. When Washington, D.C., passed its tough handgun ban years ago, gun violence rose.

The press ignores the fact that often guns save lives, like in 2002 at the Appalachian School of Law. Hearing shots, two students went to their cars, got their guns and restrained the shooter until police arrested him.

Likewise, law professor Glen Reynolds writes, "Pearl, Miss., school shooter Luke Woodham was stopped when the school's vice principal took a .45 from his truck and ran to the scene. In (last) February's Utah mall shooting, it was an off-duty police officer who happened to be on the scene and carrying a gun."

It's impossible to know exactly how often guns stop criminals. Would-be victims don't usually report crimes that don't happen. But people use guns in self-defense every day. The Cato Institute's Tom Palmer says just showing his gun to muggers once saved his life.

"It equalizes unequals," Palmer told "20/20." "If someone gets into your house, which would you rather have, a handgun or a telephone? You can call the police if you want, and they'll get there, and they'll take a picture of your dead body. But they can't get there in time to save your life. The first line of defense is you."

John Stossel is co-anchor of ABC News' "20/20." His syndicated column appears Thursdays.

The tragic shooting at Northern Illinois University this afternoon is yet another failure of the "gun free zone" mentality that has created a false sense of security on college campuses, shopping malls and other public venues across this country. "Gun free zones" do nothing but create live "shooting galleries" for sociopaths like today's killer.

Isn't it sad that among the 150 students in that classroom today there wasn't at least one student who was licensed to carry a weapon who could have stopped the killer before he finished his 5-dead, 13-wounded rampage.

So, while Katie and Charlie and Brian whine on about "the monumental number of handguns in this country", remember this: A gun is nothing more than an inanimate object. It becomes is a murder weapon in the wrong hands--a tool for protection and salvation in the right ones.

On this Thanksgiving weekend, I am thankful for clear-thinking individuals such as Syd here, and for the thoughts he has so eloquently expressed:

I don’t carry a gun…

… to kill people. I carry a gun to keep from being killed.

I don’t carry a gun to scare people. I carry a gun because sometimes this world can be a scary place.

I don’t carry a gun because I’m paranoid. I carry a gun because there are real threats in the world.

I don’t carry a gun because I’m evil. I carry a gun because I have lived long enough to see the evil in the world.

I don’t carry a gun because I hate the government. I carry a gun because I understand the limitations of government.

I don’t carry a gun because I’m angry. I carry a gun so that I don’t have to spend the rest of my life hating myself for failing to be prepared.

I don’t carry a gun because my sex organs are too small. I carry a gun because I want to continue to use those sex organs for the purpose for which they were intended for a good long time to come.

I don’t carry a gun because I want to shoot someone. I carry a gun because I want to die at a ripe old age in my bed, and not on a sidewalk somewhere tomorrow afternoon.

I don’t carry a gun because I’m a cowboy. I carry a gun because, when I die and go to heaven, I want to be a cowboy.

I don’t carry a gun to make me feel like a man. I carry a gun because men know how to take care of themselves and the ones they love.

I don’t carry a gun because I feel inadequate. I carry a gun because unarmed and facing three armed thugs, I am inadequate.

I don’t carry a gun because I love it. I carry a gun because I love life and the people who make it meaningful to me.

Is this what passes for "justice" in America?

I don't care one way or the other about Barry Bonds. I think that employing a federal grand jury to investigate steroid use in professional baseball was an incredible waste of taxpayer money. That being said, now that he has been accused of lying to that federal grand jury about using steroids he could face 30 years in federal prison?!?!?

Bill Clinton was proven to have lied to a federal grand jury for getting head jobs in the White House Oval Office and still walks around a free man!!!

If Bonds spends one moment in jail, then Clinton should be imprisoned for his crime! Since that can't happen due to American double-jeopardy laws, then leave freakin' Bonds alone!

Who the hell cares about whether or not Bonds lied...it's not like he did it while a federal employee, on federal property, while receiving a federal income, in the presence of other federal employees, then not only lied to a federal jury about it, but lied about it to the entire nation on national T.V.! If he'd done that, then SURELY he should go to jail, right???

Hmm...let's look at the situation...

Since Sunday night as many as 12,000 evacuees have found their way to San Diego's Qualcom Stadium after being run out of their homes and neighborhoods by county-wide killer wildfires.

Two years ago New Orleanos stood on their roofs screaming to the TV cameras, "Why isn't the government coming to take us to a shelter!"

This week, by all reports, the mood at Qualcom Stadium is "festive" as evacuees are volunteering to help out others, and according to the Associated Press, "Bands belted out rock 'n' roll, lavish buffets served gourmet entrees, and massage therapists helped relieve the stress for those forced to flee their homes because of wildfires."

Two years ago descriptions of the Superbowl ranged from "crime scene" to "war zone" and evacuees raped, robbed and murdered other evacuees while taking breaks from shitting openly in the chairs, walkways and the stadium floor.

...so what does this say about the two situations? What does it say about the two people groups? What does it say about Cali vs. Nahlins? ...Hmm???

I don't usually agree with this woman, but today's commentary was right on!

Nancy Giles Wants New Blood For President
The Same Two Families Have Run The White House For the Past Two Decades

NEW YORK, July 29, 2007

(CBS) Sunday Morning commentator Nancy Giles says that the Clintons and Bushes have been in power long enough.

Hillary Clinton. She's a two-term Senator from New York, with eight additional years of presidential dress rehearsals to boot. Her husband, Bill, was president, now she wants to be president. We're talking big egos here. So what's the real story? Are the Clintons feisty competitors like the gun-slinging Annie Oakley and Frank Butler in "Annie Get Your Gun?" Or do they get charged by outdoing each other like Ann-Margret and Elvis in "Viva Las Vegas?" Or is Hillary's run for commander-in-chief the biggest apology by an unfaithful husband in the history of American politics?

Can you imagine dinner conversation at the Clintons?

"Well, Bill, you were leader of the free world, and that was good, and now it's my turn to be leader of the free world."

"Okay, Hill. I owe you. Let me give you a few pointers."

But wait. The Clintons had a President in the family. They had their turn. And look what's happening with that other family that's hogging the White House, and all the messy father/son dynamics that are in the mix. Saddam was mean to his daddy years ago? George W's gonna git 'em, even if it means going to war with the wrong country! Dad's old team has some advice? George W. ignores 'em, 'cause he's his own man. It's a little bit "Dallas" with a sprinkling of Tennessee Williams' "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof," but as this psychodrama plays out, who suffers?

Only the entire free world!

There have been fathers and sons and husbands and wives who've done good: John Adams — father — and John Quincy Adams — son — didn't do too badly as presidents; Nobel-prize winning scientists Pierre and Marie Curie were married and still managed to unlock the mysteries of radium and polonium; and we can only imagine what Posh and Becks will achieve.

Look, powerful people can be as nutty as the rest of us…and we live in a democracy where all of our voices should be heard.

Isn't it time to maybe shake up the political establishment and bring someone new to a table that's been monopolized by the same two families for the last 20 years?

Excerpts from a recent letter to a friend:

"I've long said that we should give Israel a week's notice and nuke the rest of the region. Then after the glow dies down, Israel can stretch it's legs! I regret that George got so bogged down in Iraq before turning inward on Iran and cleaning out Ahmadinejad while we were on a roll! And then do a deep-cleaning on his buddies in Saudi as well!

I'm amazed at all of the pols who use phrases like "stability in the region" and "lasting peace". THE MIDDLE EAST HASN'T SEEN PEACE IN 5000 YEARS!!!

And I am a real stickler for calling things what they are (I think the whole abortion debate would be an easy fix if we just called the procedure "kill your baby")... Each time GW calls Islam "a religion of peace" it reminds me that he's a politician. (Here's my chance to recommend a book to you! "The Truth About Muhammed" by Robert Spencer--my current audiobook for my walks on the beach--it really tells it like it is! They'll be issuing a fatwa against him soon...)

And I'm convinced that NO politician can be trusted with a second term!!! GW is practically working for the DNC since the last election, our Governator turned into a Shriver after the last election. Nixon... oh, you know... and even for the dems--wasn't Monica Lewinsky in Bill's second term? Nobody except Reagan has had a successful second term I hear, but I can't vouch for it, because I was in my democrat party fog at the time... (D'Oh!)

I don't know anything about Thompson, other than my natural distrust for actors since Schwartzenegger. And I doubt that he is electable. I'm liking Romney, despite him being a Mormon--at least we'll know that he's really about family values, and he will have pro religious-liberties sensibilities.

I just hate finding myself in the position of siding with Pelosy, Klinton & Boxer in thinking that it is time to let the Iraqis destroy themselves in private. Unfortunately, the way things have gone the last 4 years the nation has lost it's support for the effort, and I don't forsee anything that would bring it back.

Bush Commutes Scooter Libby Sentence

Whether or not Scooter was guilty, I think it is apparent that Bush has just quit caring. He's decided to just let the White House go next year. Shame!

So, Islamic militants have taken credit for yesterday's failed car bomb attacks in London! What a surprise!

Just one more offering from "The Religion of Peace"!
