Okay. This is what I wrote about "the progressives" clear back in 2004:

"Gone forever is the stereotype that the right is the party of bigotry, hate and discord and the left is the party of love, peace and reconcilliation. During this last election it was the left who so openly displayed their hatred for Bush, who villified conservatives and those with religious convictions with a broad brush, and who sought out every negative image they could find in order to discredit and destroy their enemy, and who, now that they have lost, are blaming the "ignorance" of the voter for their defeat."

Now, after their overwhelming victory in the 2008 election, I read the following:

"Ann Coulter, the outspoken conservative writer seen all across American television leading up to the 2008 Presidential Election, has been forced to keep quiet after she took a fall last month. In the fall, Coulter sustained injuries that have required that her jaw be wired shut.

Hannity without Colmes becomes such a ratings disaster he gets canceled, replaced by the Sarah Palin animal appreciation hour — Pet-n-Palin.
Bill O’Reilly get’s kidnapped and no one will pay the ransom.
John Yoo get’s hit by a bus.
Karma is AWESOME! All that’s left is for Bush to announce “Mission Accomplished;” that the final step in completing his dad’s vision for a new world order is complete and that his final official act will be to sign over the deed to the United States of America to the Chinese as collateral for a way-cool casino/trick-bike track they’re building for him in Crawford.

My personal reaction couldn't be any more succinct than what follows:

"True to form, liberals are openly celebrating, which is typical. Every time a conservative experiences personal problems or tragedy, liberals celebrate like cannibalistic savages. Such behavior merely underscores the fact that they do not believe what they claim to believe. They are not tolerant; they’re not compassionate; they’re not progressive. They care solely for power, and anyone in the way of that quest must be destroyed as soon as possible. Period.

I never heard such caterwauling from Conservatives when, for instance, Ted Kennedy was diagnosed with brain cancer. Instead, I heard admonitions to pray for the Massachusetts Senator.

But then I forget that the "progressives" hate God. My mistake.
