ONE YEAR AGO TODAY...

Please take this in the spirit in which it is intended...

If you read back in my archives you will note that I was initially devistated by the aftermath of Katrina. But after watching the reactions of the professional victims of the area, my devistation rapidly turned to disgust.

Now, after a year of listening to the whining, the finger pointing and the blaming I am sick and tired of hearing the words, "New Orleans". Note that this is NOT "Katrina-fatigue" as is diagnosed by the media. Rather, it is my fatigue--nay, utter revulsion--at the Celebration of the Profession of Victimhood that has become the hallmark of this, and many other "tragedies".

The true tragedy is the "reality T.V." mentality that makes otherwise meaninless and pathetic individuals media "stars" for a civilization that has lost all underastanding of the words, "hero", "sacrifice", and "courage".

REGARDING THE RECENT ISRAELI/HEZBOLLA CONFLICT:

I quote Dennis Prager from a 7/19/06 interview on Fox's "Your World with Neil Cavuto":

"Israel is trying to do what the west most needs--destroy one of the biggest terrorist organizations. This is truly of world significance. This is no longer an Arab/Israeli dispute--this is the free world versus the Islamic terror world, and much of the world recognizes this from India, to Europe to the United States."

Yet there are those in this country who are still trying not to "offend members of the peaceful religion of Islam"...

As I've said before, political correctness will be our eventual downfall...

MEL GIBSON MUST BE CRUCIFIED!

I remained quiet about this one for, what, three weeks? But yet again today the TV "entertainment magazines" are AGAIN talking about Hollywood's disgust at Gibson's "anti-semetic invectives" and postulating whether "Gibson's career is over in this town"...

...THREE WEEKS!

Does anyone believe that if Gibson had made anti-Christian statements, that Hollywad would have even batted a fake eyelash? Much less whine and carry on for THREE WEEKS!

FRANCE SURRENDERS TO HEZBOLLA

I don't even have to make this stuff up!

After successfully spearheading a cease fire treaty between Hezbolla and Israel and championing a drive for UN forces to protect the border, (I'm sorry--I just cracked myself up by using the words, "successful", "spearhead", "champion" and "France" in the same sentence!!!) today France announced that rather than the 2000 troops they had committed to the multinational peacekeeping force during the negotions, they would instead send 200...

There is no need for me to say anything more!
