Please refer back to my August 14, 2005 post...
While it is impolite to say, "I told you so, I told you so, Nanny nanny pooh pooh!" , it is true...Israel's pullout last year from the Gaza Strip and the West Bank which they held since 1967 has been an unmitigated disaster.
As could be predicted by the entire record of history, the "poor, occupied, peace-loving 'palestinians'" have NEVER respected a cease fire, and in recent days have ratched up their attacks on Israel.
Referencing Israel's 1982 return of the Sinai Peninsula to Egypt, http://masada2000.org/historical.html comments: "Usually when one side starts a war and loses both the war AND some territory, no one on the planet would expect the winner to give back anything! This not only sounds preposterous, it IS preposterous! But the Jews (I hate to admit) had such an insane obsession of wanting the world to love them that they were willing to give back the entire Sinai Desert (oil fields, air bases and endless miles of security buffer) to Egypt for a piece of paper."
Whether "international popularity" was Ariel Sharon's motivation for caving in to the non-existent 'palestinian' nation, or if it was merely an attack of dementia by a dying man, his actions have proven to be the disaster that all of "us" who support the sovereignty of the Nation of Israel predicted...
...a disaster that other nations (such as the USA) should heed, rather than admonishing Israel to "give diplomacy a chance"...
