WTF?

Last night in Compton, in yet another LAPD vs. criminal incident, in yet another high-speed chase-turned-gunbattle, 10 LAPD officers expended a reported 120 rounds of ammo into the bad-guy's SUV hitting him 4 times.

Now, you may be expecting me to go into my customary pro-cop rant--exonerating the cops for defending themselves, pronouncing that if thugs demand to act like animals they should die like animals, vilifying the community that so effectively turns children into sociopaths--but I'm not going that way tonight.

And it's not because the bad-guy turned out to be a 40-something fat guy. It's not that the shootout occurred in a residential neighborhood. It's not even that the guy turned out to be unarmed! (whoops!)

I want you to read my first paragraph again:
10 officers...
120 shots fired...
hit him 4 times.
THAT'S FOUR TIMES!

WHERE THE HELL DO LAPD COPS LEARN TO SHOOT?!?!?

No wonder the criminals own L.A.! WHO IS THERE TO PREVENT THEM???
